The First Catherine Wilson Scholarship Award — March 2018

In the academic year of 2017–2018, Dr. Raselette Wilson-Hunt organized the very first Catherine Wilson Scholarship ceremony at the Dr. William Connor Primary School. She informed the student body that she received her own educational foundation at that same school, and told the young minds that they are all endowed with potential and possibilities.

The scholarship was named in honour of her mother, because while both parents were instrumental in her upbringing, her mother was the one who pushed her to realise her full potential.

The first awardees — Zanisha Browne and Nylah Richardson — were selected from their winning essays. Browne shed tears of joy while Richardson was beaming with smiles.
